Meet Mr. Dixon

I’m entering my 10th year of teaching at Southside High School, where I specialize in Career & Technical Education with a focus on Welding. My passion is equipping students with both the hands‑on skills and the technical knowledge they need to succeed in welding trades and related industries.

I believe in learning by doing. My classroom and shop are structured to give students as much hands‑on welding experience as possible, supplemented with theory, safety, and industry standards. I strive to prepare students not just to pass tests, but to build a foundation for careers — whether in fabrication, inspection, structural work, or further technical education.
