Meet Mrs. Dixon

My name is Meredith Dixon, and I am proud to serve as the School Counselor at Southside High School!

As school counselor, I help students navigate academic planning, explore college and career opportunities, and develop skills to support their emotional well-being and personal growth. I work closely with students, families, and staff to help each student feel known, supported, and prepared for life beyond high school. I believe every student deserves opportunities to discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and build a future filled with possibility.

I am a graduate of East Carolina University—Go Pirates! Outside of school, I enjoy watching sports and spending time with my husband, Stanley, who also teaches at Southside, and our sons, Nolan and Avery.

I look forward to partnering with you throughout your student’s high school journey!
