John Lohman

Meet Mr. Lohman

I attended ECU and received a BFA in Art Education in 1994 and then an MFA in Metalsmithing from Arizona State University in 1998. I started teaching at P.S. Jones in 1998 and moved to Southside in 2000. After 15 years at Southside, I moved overseas to teach English as a Second language in Malaysia. Miraculously, when I returned in 2023, I was able to work at Southside again.

I am currently the yearbook advisor, assistant soccer coach, and the head softball coach. In the classroom, I teach Beginning, Intermediate, Proficient, and Advanced Art as well as Journalism 1 and 2.
