Buffy Everette

Meet Ms. Everette

Ms. Buffy Everette is currently in her 18th year of teaching and 8th year at Southside High School. As a native of Washington County and a former FFA member herself, she is dedicated to the organization that has given her so much.

Ms. Everette is always on the go. You can find her in the greenhouse transplanting plants, in the chicken coop, collecting eggs, or relaxing at home with her children. She enjoys seeing her students and FFA members succeed inside the classroom and out. She enjoys working with animals and helping with floral arrangements on the side.

She was chosen to serve as the Northeast Regional Vice President for the Ag Teachers Association of North Carolina for the next two years. Along with that title, she has many other accomplishments throughout the state and Nation; National Teachers Turn the Key Award- 2013, NCATA Board Member 2017-2019, NC Ag Teachers Co-Hort- 2023-2025, NC FFA Board of Directors 2018-2020, and a NC FFA State Honorary Degree in 2021.
