Meet Mrs. Engle

Hello Seahawks! I am a proud member of the English department here at Southside. Although I am originally from Virginia, I came to North Carolina to put down roots, and I have called this state home since 2009. I attended Pitt Community College and received an Associate’s degree; I then continued my journey by becoming a Pirate at ECU, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in English Education. Southside High School was the first school where I began my teaching career, and I decided to plant roots here. There was a spark of magic and warmth which kept me here. This is my tenth year at Southside, which shows my commitment to this charming collection of bricks and spirit. I look forward to being your child's teacher this year!
